Brief Profile:

Dr. Arlappa is currently working in the Division of Community Studies. He has been actively involved in preparation of community based research project proposals, study proformae, execution of research projects and quality control of data collection in the community. He worked in more than 25 operational and evaluation research projects related to various topics such as micronutrient malnutrition; morbidities of communicable and non-communicable diseases and dietary pattern and nutritional status of the community residing in rural, tribal drought and tsunami affected areas of various parts of India.

He also serves as a faculty member in various regular training programmes conducted by the institute for various adhoc training programmes for project investigators, staff of NNMB state units, health & ICDS functionaries.
