Is a Diplomate of the Indian College of Veterinary Pathologists (2008) and Certificate holder (FELASA level ‘C’) from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands. He is a gold medalist from A.P. Agricultural University, in Masters in Veterinary Pathology (1987), a Young Scientist (1995) and Mahaveera Vishwa Sadhbhavna Puraskar (1999) Awardee. He has been working for the last 21 years at NCLAS, Pathology Division and Center for Advanced Research in Preclinical Toxicology at NIN, Hyderabad. He also worked on deputation as an Advisor (Expert Consultant) to the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals, Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. He has more than 14 publications in both National and International Journals in the field of clinical pathology, toxicology, toxicopathology and lab animal pathology. He has vast experience as a Veterinarian, Veterinary Pathologist and Toxico-pathologist in animal breeding, care, management and experimentation in all species of animals. He also has vast experience in regulatory toxicology, Health monitoring of lab animals, ethical issues in animal experimentation, implementation of rules and regulations. He has been involved in more than a dozen preclinical toxicology projects and has reviewed histopathology slides from toxicology studies in more than 100 projects.
