Brief Profile:

Dr. Suresh Challa has obtained his Master”s Degree in Biochemistry from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati in the year 1993 and received Gold Medal for being the first rank holder in the university. He secured his Ph.D in Toxicology from the same university. His research interests include Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Nutritional Biochemistry and Toxicology and Environmental Toxicology. He handled different projects related to Lead toxicity and its protection by different neuroprotective compounds in Human SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cell lines, Vitamin E in green leafy vegetables, fluorosis, hemoglobinopathies and health and morbidity profiles of various tribes. Presently working on Phytoestrogens and its diverse effects and mechanism of action on different health manifestations. He has been recognized a s PhD supervisor by different Universities.

Dr. Suresh received NIH Visiting Scientist Fellowship and conducted research on Lead Neurotoxicity and protection by different neuroprotective compounds in Neurocellular models of Brain for one year during May 2004 to April 2005 at Savanna State University, Savannah, Georgia, USA. He is a Fellow of Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacy (FABP).
